Meeting up at various sites in Boulder — starting at Chautauqua Park on June 16th.

All levels welcome.

Course size limited to 10 participants.

We will be painting in oils directly from nature, during our lovely summer season, in the beautiful surroundings of Boulder, Colorado. Working with a naturalistic approach, we will explore color and tonal mixing in order to create a believable sense of light and space. We will look at aspects of value, temperature and intensity as facets of tone.

In addition to foundational aspects of tonal relationships Jordan will also be demonstrating more playful and intuitive ways of marking and exploring space and light.

Directness and spontaneity will be encouraged! Students will receive individual instruction within a creative and supportive atmosphere.
