This in-studio, ongoing, 7-week course is designed to give people the fundamental tools and skills to draw and oil paint from life. Working from still life, we will learn how to translate what we see into convincing and successful renditions. We’ll start with basic drawing skills, developing proportion, shading and color. Working step-by-step we’ll develop a thorough understanding of oil paint and how to use it. As our mastery develops, spontaneous play becomes part of our repertoire.

The course is structured as an opportunity for ongoing skill development, allowing each participant to work and develop at their own pace and rhythm. 

One-on-one attention is given in a supportive and creative atmosphere.
