3 Upcoming Shows for Colorado Painter Jordan Wolfson

Denver area art lovers have a unique opportunity to view the work of Jordan Wolfson, internationally renowned painter of still lifes and interiors, over the next two months in three settings.

“Flowers!” is opening at Gallery 1261. The showcase captures the delicate interplay of form, color and spirit that flowers embody, offering an immersive journey for all who visit.

“Interiors I” runs through May 31 at Naropa University’s Lincoln Gallery. Ranging from representation to abstract, these paintings explore space with rich color and the process of marking as a means of encouraging the encounter between gestural material surfaces and inner felt awareness.

“Interiors II” runs through April 30 at the St. Julien Hotel. These large-scale paintings present the visceral impact of light within domestic spaces lived by the artist.

As art critic Michael Paglia has observed, “Painter Jordan Wolfson is an artist’s artist.”
