TESTIMONIALS:

Studying with Jordan Wolfson has been a profound investment in my artistic identity. He possesses a rare gift for intuitively seeing exactly what a painter needs, asking the right questions to gently guide you toward your own solutions rather than imposing his will. As a Yale MFA graduate who studied under legends like Andrew Forge and Donald Weygandt, he brings a world-class mastery and lineage to every critique—offering an education of incredible depth and value. His guidance is uniquely gentle yet rigorous, helping me develop the specific skills to realize my vision and reach my potential, while reminding me that I am the source of my art.”

My year long mentorship with Jordan Wolfson has profoundly shaped both my practice and my confidence as a painter. I’ve gained a much deeper understanding of what truly interests me, built a website, and continue to clarify the direction of my work.  Jordan has been a kind of North Star for me. Our conversations stay with me. I leave with questions rather than answers. My tendency is to reflect on what we’ve discussed, read some relevant material he has recommended and return to the studio to make. His guidance has helped me trust my own instincts and deepen my commitment to the work.

Jordan is also available for individual critiques and personal studio one-hour sessions to help artists further their own vision and strengthen their work. Areas that may be addressed: portfolio development, creative blocks, readiness to move more deeply into the painting practice, how to bring the work to full completion. Sessions may be held through Zoom or in Jordan’s studio in North Boulder.

In addition to providing supportive responses to the studio work in the form of formal critique and suggestions, Jordan is also available to work with aspects of our inner life in relation to our painting practice:

  • Questions of Meaning in the Work
  • Intimacy and Alignment with Our Work
  • Compositional Wholeness as an Inner Dimension
  • Keeping Faith and Tolerating Uncertainty
  • Experimentation and Risk Taking
  • Perseverance
Current and previous students are eligible to receive a 25% discount on each hour session.  Please purchase individual sessions separately from other purchases.
Further details and information concerning the individual sessions or mentoring are available upon inquiry.
