"I have been teaching basic, foundational skills in the studio for decades and have been wanting to bring this instruction to an online course for a number of years now. It’s a deep pleasure teaching people not only to paint – but to see! Over the years I’ve also come to understand how painting can bring a sense of clarity, integration, and present moment awareness and I want to share that path with others!" -- Jordan
Jordan is a painter and a teacher, painting for almost 50 years and teaching for over 30 years. Jordan received his MFA from Yale School of Art in 1991. Exhibiting both nationally and internationally, Jordan is the recipient of various awards, including the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, the Ingram Merrill Foundation Grant and a Purchase Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In his recurring explorations of form, space, and light, Jordan has been investigating the relationships between perception, mark, and Consciousness. This has led to his experience of painting as a life-practice and a means for fundamental understanding. Jordan lives in Colorado, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
