Polyptych – A Woman Sitting with Chairs in Three States

A polyptych refers to any multi-panel work that extends beyond three panels. Most of the works included in this collection are actually diptychs or triptychs, although one is a seven-panel piece and is a proper polyptych. Frequently I work in multiple panels, exploring the relationships across multiple images. When the panels need remain together in order to maintain the integrity of the work I refer to them as diptychs, triptychs or polyptychs.

Very often my interest, as explored in these works, stems from an interest in different experiences of being — not some extraordinary sense of being, but rather our simple daily way. Our experience changes, hour by hour, but somehow the simple presence of being remains the same. I am interested in that. And I have tried to give plastic expression to that.

Many of these pieces were exhibited at the DFN Gallery in New York City. A few were exhibited at the Van Straaten Gallery in Denver. And a few were exhibited at the Rothschild Fine Art Gallery in Tel Aviv.

Acquisition Notes

These are multiple panel works. The individual panels are not available separately in order to maintain the integrity of the piece.
